People come to therapy for various reasons, such as having difficulties coping with anxiety, depression, insomnia, gender issues, bereavement, phobias, OCD, relationship issues, life transitions, stress management, finding meaning in life, career guidance, finding balance in life, help in enhancing overall wellbeing, etc.
" In my clinical work, I integrate various approaches such as Person-Centered, Compassion-Focused Therapy, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Gestalt, Existential Therapy and Mindfulness. I believe that as unique human beings there is a need to receive a treatment that is also unique, that reflects the client’s individual preference, way of being, but that is also evidence-based and that follows best practice in the treatment of the client’s presenting issues. I offer counselling and psychotherapy to Adults and Teenagers in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment, working collaboratively with the client to reach whatever treatment goals they seek. As an accredited member I abide by the code of ethics and practice of the IACP. I also deliver the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) program.
I hold a BA in Psychotherapy and Counselling and my keen interest in working with teenagers and their parents led me to a Master in Science Degree in Adolescent Psychotherapy with DCTC in conjunction with Northampton University, the only MSc course in Adolescent Psychotherapy in the world.
